*The states of Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin are authorized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to operate their own Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) program instead of the federal RRP program. This means that firms and individuals working in these states must comply with the respective state's regulations, not the federal RRP regulations. Additionally, the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe - Bois Forte (Nett Lake) is also authorized to operate its own program.
