EPA RRP Training
Essential certification for renovators, maintenance workers, and contractors working in pre-1978 properties.
Why You Need Certification
Any renovation, repair, or painting (RRP) project in a pre-1978 home or building can easily create dangerous lead dust. The EPA requires that RRP projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 residential units and child-occupied facilities (daycares or schools) be performed by lead-safe certified contractors.
- "If you are a renovator, maintenance worker, or contractor working on property with a construction date that precedes 1978, by federal law, you are required to become EPA certified."
