EPA RRP Training

Essential certification for renovators, maintenance workers, and contractors working in pre-1978 properties.

Why You Need Certification

Any renovation, repair, or painting (RRP) project in a pre-1978 home or building can easily create dangerous lead dust. The EPA requires that RRP projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 residential units and child-occupied facilities (daycares or schools) be performed by lead-safe certified contractors.

Initial Certification

New to lead-safe work practices? Our EPA RRP Initial Certification course gives you the hands-on training required to legally perform renovation, repair, and painting work in pre-1978 homes and buildings. Complete the 8-hour course and stay certified for the next 5 years.

Refresher Course

Already certified? Renew your EPA RRP certification before it expires with our online refresher course. The refresher takes a minimum of 4 hours and keeps your certification valid for another 3 years. Don’t wait until it lapses — renew on your schedule from anywhere.

Online refresher training is not accepted for Kansas state certification.
